Sadly, the “Quantum Leap” revival has been cancelled by NBC. There will be no season 3. This follows a 2nd season that started a bit rough but more than redeemed itself by the end with another great season-long story arc, a strong finish, and a cliff-hanger that implied intriguing possibilities for a 3rd season.

It’s frustrating that it seems whenever I find a really a good show I like, it usually gets cancelled after only one or two seasons. How is it so many bad, lackluster, or overly formulaic shows last for dozens of seasons, but some of the most imaginative and creative shows struggle just to survive past three seasons or to even get that third season?
